Safeguarding healthcare: Wormald’s commitment to fire protection and training
In healthcare environments, every second counts. In these settings, the risk of fire presents not just a property hazard but a direct threat to life, safety, and continued care.
How homeowners in bushfire zones can quickly contain small outbreaks
For Australians who live in bushfire-prone areas, preparing for the season ahead is a familiar and essential ritual. Hot and dry conditions can quickly turn small sparks into major threats within minutes. For homeowners, there are tools and strategies that can help reduce risks to both lives and property, including emergency products that support broader bushfire preparedness planning.
Why passive fire specialists are critical to building safety and compliance
Fire protection isn’t just about alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers, it’s also about what happens before a fire starts and how a building is prepared to contain it. That’s where passive fire protection expertise is needed to support building owners and asset managers, helping to identify and rectify the defects that may become critical in the event of a fire.
Specialised fire suppression systems for marine vessels
Whether on land or at sea, fire suppression systems are critical for protecting people, property, and the environment. For compliance managers, asset owners, captains, skippers and operators, ensuring these systems are properly designed, installed, and maintained is not only a safety requirement but also a compliance matter when it comes to Australian and international standards.
Understanding the Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS) in NSW
The AFSS is a legally required document in NSW for most building owners, which certifies that all essential fire safety measures in a building’s Fire Safety Schedule have been inspected, assessed, and maintained by an APFS.
One fire every 1.3 days: The hidden risk of counterfeit parts in vehicle fire suppression
The risk of fire in heavy vehicles and machinery is a significant safety concern, with recent data from Resources Safety & Health QLD revealing 273 fire events on Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) in the 2024/25 financial year – the equivalent of one fire every 1.3 days in Queensland coal mines.
