Fire Extinguisher Training

Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours

This training course provides participants with the required knowledge to be able to correctly identify and select the most suitable fire extinguisher and first attack firefighting equipment, typically available in the workplace.

Participants undertake theoretical and practical training which will provide an understanding of:

• • What a fire is and how to respond
  • How to assess the type and size of the fire and therefore select appropriate measures and equipment for first attack
  • Technical aspects of fire itself

This session includes practical training components where participants will be given an opportunity to use fire extinguishers and first attack fire equipment.
