Fire Designer – Wet Systems

We specialise in designing, installing and servicing new and existing fire safety systems in industrial and commercial buildings across Australia, as well as to the mining, health, and educational sectors. We work across all aspects of dry fire, wet fire, special hazards, portable, passive and vehicle systems. 

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic collaborator who enjoys building sustainable relationships with fellow team mates, clients and other business/industry professionals. 

As a Fire Designer – Wet Systems, you will be responsible for 

• Designing and documenting building fire protection wet systems from concept to detailed design
• Integrating electrical, mechanical and hydraulic disciplines to produce packaged solutions
• Undertaking regular site inspections
• Client Liaison

You will be provided with strong support and mentoring from experienced fellow designers and estimators. 

Prerequisites/Skills and Personal Attributes

A desire and commitment to continually improving one’s skill set will help you to adapt to this diverse role, as will:-

• Fire Design – Wet Systems experience
• Preferably Tertiary level qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• AutoCAD and Revit MEP skills
• Solid understanding of key players in the fire industry and Australian Standards
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive approach to problem solving
