About the Role
Our Sydney Airport team requires an experienced and motivated Sprinkler Fitter Tester to join the team. This is a permanent, full-time position and the successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection and testing fire systems in accordance with Australian Standards, at this contracted site and to further support our Sydney client base.
The role will require the successful applicant to be able to plan, organize and have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be able to work autonomously as well as demonstrate versatility and support within a team environment.
Primary duties will include:-
- Undertaking the scheduled testing of fire service systems, including fire sprinklers, street and stop valves, and pumped systems, in accordance with Australian Standards
- Inspection and testing of minor repairs
- Reporting of faults, producing technical reports on equipment status and completion of service records with the use of smart device technology
- Liaising with customers, promoting a professional and friendly image
- Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Key qualities we are looking for include, but are not limited to:
- Relevant Sprinkler Fitting Licence/Trade Qualification including registration
- Fire industry experience – working in accordance with Australian Standards
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) application process
- Strong focus and commitment to workplace safety
- A positive attitude, flexibility and great communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Good personal presentation
- Must have full Australian work entitlements with no restrictions
