Wormald is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team based at Olympic Dam. This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in fire systems, mechanical or electrical trades.
As the Site Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate site operations to ensure that fire safety systems are installed, maintained, and serviced to the highest standards. Your expertise in fire systems will be crucial in managing on-site teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering exceptional service to our client.

The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Supervisor to join our mining team on a FIFO basis, working a ‘7 on, 7 off’ roster. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, ensuring the safety and compliance of critical fire protection systems
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Technical Support: Lead and mentor a team of site-based technicians, providing guidance and resolving technical challenges to ensure efficient and high-quality completion of all tasks.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, driving productivity and excellence in the maintenance and servicing of fire protection systems.
- Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with company/site policies and KPI’s.
- Ensure that all work aligns with contractual requirements and industry standards. Conduct thorough site inspections, field leadership activities and audits to maintain top-quality performance.
- Plan and schedule maintenance and service activities to guarantee timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Maintain effective communication with client representatives and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues, implementing solutions and improvements to enhance overall operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably within fire protection, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Experience in fire protection is highly desirable, particularly with a background in electrical or mechanical trades.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support technicians effectively, guiding them in their daily tasks.
- Proven capability to efficiently schedule and plan tasks while managing competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities and compliance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
