About the role
Due to recent growth we are currently seeking an Electrician to be responsible for servicing, repairs and testing of electrical and portable Fire Equipment to the relevant Australian Standards for our customer base in Tamworth and the surrounding region.
Experience in testing within the fire protection industry and other fire services including but not limited to fire alarms, extinguishers, hose reels, smoke alarms, pumps and hydrants would be highly regarded.
This full-time position will require the successful candidate to be available to participate in the callout roster and be available to travel to regional surrounding areas from time to time.
Your primary duties will include:-
- Carrying out repairs to fire protection equipment to Australian Standards
- Routine testing of fire protection equipment in accordance with Australian Standards
- Liaising with customers, promoting a professional and friendly environment
- Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
- Completion of service records with the use of smart phone technology
Our ideal candidate will have:-
- NSW Electrical Licence
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Strong focus and commitment to workplace safety
- A positive attitude, flexibility and great communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Good personal presentation
- Willingness to diversify into other areas of fire protection
