About the Role
As a part of our commitment to develop industry specific talent, we are seeking a full-time Design Engineer to join our Technical team based in Homebush.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Using computer assisted design/drafting equipment (CAD) and software to develop designs.
- Undertaking calculations and developing specifications of electronic fire protection equipment including fire detection and alarm systems, evacuation systems and fire panel designs.
- Application of the National Construction Code (NCC) and various Australian and International Standards applicable to the fire protection industry.
- Working together with our clients to deliver their requirements on time and to specification; and
- Spending time on site to determine system requirements and assist/co-ordinate field staff requirements.
To be considered for this amazing and rare opportunity, you will have completed your Higher School Certificate and a Mechanical or Electronics Engineering Degree or similar, along with a minimum of 12 months’ work experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Design role within the Building Industry.
You must have a “can do” attitude, a willingness to learn, take pride in the quality of your work and be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
A salary range of $77K – $85K plus superannuation is on offer.
