Carpenter – Fire Doors and/or Fire Alarm Tester

Wormald have been designing, installing and servicing fire protection systems since 1889 and are a leading provider of fire protection solutions with an enviable reputation and firmly established brand.

An opportunity now exists for an experienced Fire Doors Technician to join our South East Queensland service operation. The successful applicant will perform inspections, testing and minor adjustment to Fire/Smoke doors, Passive fire stopping elements, roller doors/shutters and Emergency exit doors for our existing and new client base.

If you are Multi-skilled… even better! Fire Door Technicians with the requisite training have the opportunity to develop their career into Fire Alarm testing, Emergency Exit Lighting & Fire Extinguisher servicing.

Key qualities we are looking for include but are not limited to:

• Previous experience working as a Fire Door Technician or Carpentry and QBCC licensed
• Experience within the fire protection industry
• Self-motivation and an ability to work unsupervised
• A strong focus on safety
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
• Strong focus on quality and client satisfaction
• Good personal presentation
• A current Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• QBCC Licence or Carpentry Trade Certificate, with some fire systems experience
