About the Role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our high‑performing Sydney Sales team as we continue our strong growth across our key account portfolio.

This opportunity is ideal for a results driven “hunter” who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities, and converting complex customer requirements into long‑term, recurring Fire service contracts.

With a primary focus on new business acquisition, you will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities beyond formal tender processes while confidently engaging with senior and executive‑level decision‑makers.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new service contracts across Sydney.
  • Originate and progress opportunities within large, complex and strategically significant customer environments.
  • Build and maintain a strong, well‑qualified pipeline of high‑value opportunities aligned to growth targets.
  • Engage credibly with senior and executive stakeholders, tailoring commercial solutions to customer needs.
  • Lead major bid and tender responses, coordinating inputs across Sales, Service, Operations, Estimating and EHS.
  • Develop compelling proposals and contribute to client presentations for complex service opportunities.
  • Maintain disciplined use of CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Operate within delegated pricing authority, ensuring margin protection and commercial compliance.
  • Ensure smooth transition and handover of secured contracts to service delivery teams to support long‑term success.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development or sales within fire services, building services, or a related industry.
  • Proven success as a new business “hunter”, with a strong track record of winning large, recurring service contracts.
  • Experience leading bid and tender activities.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and confidence to engage at senior levels.
  • A disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.

Formal tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline are valued, but are not essential when supported by industry experience and a demonstrated track record of success.
