Andrew Lee
Chief Executive Officer
Andrew has been with Wormald for more than 30 years in roles spanning maintenance, installations, manufacturing, product distribution and technical services.
With a background in both science and commerce, Andrew holds both a BSc (Hons) and MCom from The University of Sydney and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Throughout his career working with Wormald, Andrew has helped navigate its move from an ASX listed company through to a privately owned entity.
Andrew combines technical expertise with strategic vision. His leadership has been characterised by pioneering advancements in fire protection technology and a steadfast commitment to operational excellence.
As Wormald’s CEO, Andrew continues to spearhead our mission to innovate and deliver cutting-edge fire protection solutions locally and globally, ensuring safety and sustainability are at the forefront of the company’s future.
Chris O’Sullivan
Chief Financial Officer
Chris has spent more than two decades in the business, joining Wormald in 2003 as a Finance Manager, leading to his appointment as CFO in 2012.
In addition to his financial leadership, Chris oversees the business’ IT Function and serves as a director of the company alongside CEO, Andrew Lee.
Holding a BCom from Macquarie University and a FCPA certification from CPA Australia, Chris has extensive experience leading finance teams, driving operational improvement, managing mergers and acquisitions, as well as working closely with both internal and external customers and stakeholders.
David Cunneen
Human Resources Director
With 25 years’ experience in HR, David was appointed Wormald Human Resources Director in 2024, leading all human resources, environmental health and safety, and industrial relations functions of the business.
Prior to joining Wormald, David spent the past decade as an HR specialist working in the fire and security industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Western Sydney, which underscores his commitment to excellence in organisational management and employee relations.
Christian Ford
General Counsel
Joining Wormald in 2020 as General Counsel, Christian drives the business’ legal functions, leveraging more than two decades of expertise as a corporate and commercial lawyer.
Throughout his career, Christian has held senior legal positions in Australian and international firms. He’s worked in industries including major defence, critical infrastructure, communications, and dispute resolution.
In addition to his legal expertise, Christian brings experience as a professional engineer and commercial advisor to his current role.
Holding both a BE (elec & electronics) from the University of Queensland, and an LLB from the University of New South Wales, Christian serves as Wormald’s Company Secretary, demonstrating his multifaceted contribution to the organisation’s governance and legal strategy.
John Lynch
General Manager Business Services
John is responsible for the company’s compliance, distribution services, marketing, procurement and fleet teams, while managing the strategic sourcing of Wormald’s products. Joining Wormald in 2001, John has more than 25 years’ experience in the fire protection industry.
Closely involved in the development of a qualification framework for the Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme (FPAS), John is an active member of the Fire Protection Association of Australia (FPAA) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) /3/7 Portable and mobile equipment, current chairperson of TAC 1 – Maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment, and represents the FPAA on the Standards Australia Committee FP-001 Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment.
John holds qualifications in marketing and business administration and has previously held roles at Cadbury Schweppes, and Nestlé, both in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Justin Morris
Technical Director
Justin is responsible for Wormald engineering practices and the company’s introduction of new fire protection systems and technologies nationally.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Justin steers Wormald in the design, installation and commissioning of ‘special hazard’ fire safety systems including gaseous agent systems, water spray, water mist and foam, as well as vehicle fire suppression systems.
Justin is an active member of the Fire Protection Association of Australia Technical Advisory Committee TAC 11/22 and Standards Australia Committee FP-11, both for special hazard fire systems.
Prior to his current role, Justin led Wormald’s Engineering Support Group in Asia, where he supported the installation and service businesses in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Korea, India and the UAE.
Jon Buckley
Director Defence, Marine and Products
Jon has more than 45 years of local and international experience in the fire protection industry.
His roles included an electronics and engineering apprenticeship with Mather & Platt, followed by Wormald Engineering UK, working offshore in the North Sea for many years and throughout Europe, Scandinavia and the former Eastern Bloc. Jon then progressed in his role as the London and Southern Regional Director for Wormald UK & Europe.
Before joining the Australian business in 2016 as GM of Wormald Technology & the NSW Region, Jon operated a large Special Hazards operation in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, overseeing the design, supply, installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of state of-the-art technological solutions.
Dave Gavan
National General Manager Wormald Security
Joining Wormald in 2019, Dave is responsible for the Wormald Security business, delivering sophisticated asset protection solutions for high-risk, production intensive and essential service operations.
Dave has more than 30 years electronic security industry experience in complex integrated and high security systems. His ongoing work sees Dave striving to differentiate Wormald Security to industry through its superior standards in quality, technology, service and performance across standalone and multi-site environments.
Paul Barbuto
Regional General Manager South-East Australia and GAAM Emergency Products
Paul is the Regional General Manager for South-East Australia and GAAM Emergency Products.
Primarily based in the East Bentleigh office, Paul’s geographical responsibilities include all branch locations throughout Victoria, Tasmania, ACT, Albury, and Wagga Wagga.
Paul joined Wormald in 2018 and has more than 30 years of senior management experience in the fire, security and building services industry sectors, working with reputable brands such as Boral Building Technologies, Otis Elevators and Chubb Fire & Security.
Paul has a strong customer centric focus and successful track record in running profitable service businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, Accounting and Finance from Victoria University.
Eddy Zaccomer
Regional General Manager New South Wales
Based in Wormald’s national headquarters in Homebush West, Eddy is responsible for management of the greater NSW region as well as the Simplex Time Solutions business, which provides end-to-end time and attendance packages, master clock systems, time displays and advanced software and biometric solutions.
Working across the Northern NSW, Central Coast, Sydney and Wollongong branches, Eddy brings more than 37 years of fire industry expertise to his role, including over 30 years with Wormald.
Eddy is a qualified Licensed Electrical Contractor and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Mount Eliza Business School.
Nick Peterson
Regional General Manager Queensland
As the Regional General Manager for Queensland, Nick is based in Wormald’s Brisbane office, located in Murarrie.
Nick has extensive experience in management across a range of sectors including telecommunications, general electrical service and contracting, business consulting, electronic security, and fire services.
Prior to joining Wormald in 2022, Nick was COO for Locatrix, and GM Queensland for Chubb Fire and Security for 11 years. This followed other senior leadership roles with Canon, IBM Global Services and Philips Telecommunications and Data Systems.
Nick focuses on identifying customer needs, producing and quantifying a solution, and ensuring implementation delivers a steady state result.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology.
Bob Preedy
Regional General Manager Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory
Bob is responsible for overseeing the management of the significant geographies of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Dedicating his career to Wormald for more than 46 years, Bob has extensive fire industry experience, first starting as a Sprinkler Fitter in 1978, then progressing through the ranks in areas spanning design, supervision and project management, with roles including Service Manager and National Contracting Manager.
Bob also completed a 12-month assignment with Wormald in India, in the role of Operations Manager.
